This past season a two-year undertaking by a couple of our members finally culminated when they unveiled to us and the world their full scale replica 3-inch Ordnance Rifle! Private (now First Sgt.) Kolb and Lt. (now Corporal) Knapp decided this past year that they had had enough of all the marching and started K's Battery, now proudly attached "permanently" to the 13th U.S. Infantry, Co. C.
This is a great opportunity for us as a unit as we have the opportunity now to choose which branch of the army we'd like to portray during each re-enactment. It also gives our Association more appeal to the public when we do private events and performances. As you will see from the pictures below, a lot of love and attention went into this product and it isn't simply some weekend project put together by amateurs, this is the real deal and the entire unit is more than proud to stand by their side on the battlefield!!! |
